Narrative therapy is a collaborative, post-classical approach. It is grounded in the idea that people are experts in their own life experiences, and it supports them in creating lives that are more connected to their values, principles, and hopes. It is informed by feminism and Foucauldian philosophy, and therefore pays close attention to the ways in which social and political contexts shape our lives and the problems we face. It also emphasizes relationships, seeing people as inherently relational beings.
I also offer couples therapy sessions, which are slightly longer than individual ones (a typical individual session lasts 1 hour, while couples or family sessions last up to 1.5 hours). I work with LGBTQ+ individuals and families, although I have personal experience only within heterosexual relationships. I have experience working with international couples and people who have moved to other countries—and I have personal experience of relocation myself.
I do not work with psychiatric conditions independently; in such cases, I collaborate with psychiatrists, as I am not licensed to prescribe medication and my training does not cover medical treatment.
I don't work with children, but the family session with one or two parents and a teenager is possible.
The price at the moment is 55 euro per individual online session (1 hour) and 65 per individual session in person (In Lisbon, close to Marques Pombal), for couples and families - 75 / 90 (online / in person, lasts 1 hour 20 minutes). You don't need to make the prepayment, the session is to be paid after the session at the same day. If the session is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance it is to be paid.
