Hi, I‘m Denis. My professional and personal journey has been shaped by the question of how individual experience and societal transformation are interconnected. Over the years, I have lived and worked in diverse parts of the world—from Germany (Freiburg, Bonn, Berlin) to Auckland, New Zealand, and now Portugal. Drawn by my passion for surfing, the ocean, and a collectively organised housing project, I now spend most of my life in Portugal.
We live in a society that is not only on the brink of ecological and social collapse but also produces contradictions and divisions—both in our relationships with others and with ourselves—that leave deep marks on the psyche. The weight of these crises often makes it difficult to remain hopeful and, in some cases, can even lead to severe psychological distress. Yet, precisely in these times, creating spaces of care and compassion becomes essential for fostering agency, critical reflection, and solidarity. In response to these crises, I find it necessary to work at the intersection of psychology, sociology, and philosophy, integrating social critique into the exploration of personal development and mental well-being. I pursue these interests not only in my work with clients but also through academic and activist networks.
As a coach and supervisor, I work with professionals across a range of fields, including the helping professions, higher education, culture, and business—often funded by their organisations. I also support private clients as they navigate the complexities of their personal and professional lives. Across all contexts, I strive to provide spaces where individuals can feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their relationship to themselves and to the world.
