Having left my hometown at 17 to go live alone in the country's capital was what first set my journey to build my resilience throughout the next few years. During my academic years, I have worked part-time jobs at the same time, what helped me grow mentally and, also, to come in contact with different kinds of people, as well as made me have to learn how to deal with frustration and conflict management early on. I have been on my own therapy journey since I'm 17, and now, with 24, I can say that I've learned immensely through it, both about myself and about the world around me. I believe that my journey in therapy has been one of my biggest "teachers" when it comes to what I've learned about psychology and counseling as a whole.
Each person's therapy journey is unique and one can not compare it with any other. With that mindset in mind, I like to guide my counseling through the approach of the Integrative Psychology - as I believe that there is not one single approach that "fits all", but that all of the perspectives in Psychology can be important and relevant, they simply must be ADAPTED to the individual in question. Therefore, my approach is a mixture of a cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic and systemic approach.
I also strongly believe that therapy is for looking within yourself with guidance, and, therefore, being capable of confronting/facing oneself with, sometimes, harsh questions. I am here to help you find the core beliefs that are limiting and hurting you, finding the right pace to face this beliefs and work through them, together.
My goal is to find what is causing you the most suffering and hurting you from achieving your highest potential in your life right now. Whatever it is, with the pace you are comfortable with, we can work on it together, with an individualized approach that will best suit your needs and that will evolve as, hopefully, so will you!
