About me
growth and fulfillI’ve always been moved by curiosity. How would it be to live in another culture? Perhaps that made me complete 1yr of B.A of History, work with refugees, do voluntary work abroad, do Erasmus, learn languages, travel, work in isolated regions, work in a multinational company… And how would it be to have another life, story, destiny, genetics, decisions, zodiac… Maybe that made me passionately study and work in psychotherapy until today, love Interviews, Novels, Storytelling, Life Story Work, Sociodrama, Psicodrama, Teatro do Oprimido, Community Theatre… I guess Bonding and Justice have been always present to (foster care, senior living home, home assistance care, emergency social services...). Psychology was a privileged area to be align with those values, because it gave me tools to help organizations, families and persons for some old and new social problems, and this engagement was deeply enriching for my personal growth and fulfilment.

Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.
I believe the first step is a collaborative understanding of the difficulties that brought you to therapy, their probable origins and what is perpetuating them now. This evaluation (not only at the start) allows us to choose and adapt therapeutic models and interventions to your needs and goals, with the help of scientific tools. Then, within a responsive, safe and warm relationship, step by step, we will try to: mindfully get in touch with the sensations of your body; explore what emotional experiences inform about what's missing in your life; understand how the content of the present and past relationships can influence you (even our own) and benefit from this; discover and transform your most important triggers, sensitive memories (that can be easily brought to mind or not), feelings (like sadness, shame or fear), behaviours (like numbing, avoidance or conflict), rigid and inadequate beliefs and patterns of thinking and the things that are withdrawing you from your needs and values.
