My path into therapy began through mentoring justice-involved youth—a formative experience that shaped how I understand perspective, voice, and the importance of being truly seen. Working with young men who were often unseen or unheard showed me how profoundly perspective shapes experience—how being genuinely listened to can restore dignity, and how the absence of that listening can cause real harm.
This led to my approach, grounded in the belief that people already carry wisdom, strength, and the capacity for change, and they will flourish when they are supported in seeing themselves and their circumstances with greater clarity and compassion.
In the US, I am licensed in 2 US states (California and Texas) as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I serve on the Ethics Committee for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and on the Industry Advisory Council for the University of Phoenix. I recently relocated to Altea, Spain, and am currently accepting new clients (14 years and older) for Telehealth in Spain.
Personal connection is an important element in growth and healing, so I seek to build strong rapport early in the process, as I learn about your strengths, experiences, challenges, fears and dreams. This evolving understanding will support your healing journey as we work together.
Therapy with me is not about being “fixed.” It’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and learning how to respond with greater intention, agency, and compassion. My approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Therapy is a space where your voice, values, and strengths are taken seriously. We will leverage this personal, respectful connection to help you relax into a greater understanding of what is possible for you.
I regularly draw from Collaborative Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Hypnotherapy. My work centers on helping clients strengthen their voice and self-trust, understand how connection, loss, and attachment shape emotional challenges, and develop practical strategies that fit real life rather than a one-size-fits-all model.
