Throughout my career, I have worked with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma-related difficulties, and challenges connected to life transitions. Many of the people I support are expats and international professionals navigating demanding roles, cultural adaptation, relationship changes, or periods of uncertainty. Living or working internationally can bring valuable opportunities, but it can also involve specific emotional pressures, such as high expectations, isolation, identity changes, or the need to make important decisions far from familiar support systems.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and respectful of each person’s individual experience. I aim to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring difficulties at your own pace. Therapy offers the opportunity to better understand emotional patterns, gain perspective on current challenges, and develop practical ways of responding to situations that may feel overwhelming or complex.
I integrate different therapeutic approaches depending on each person’s needs and goals. My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR therapy, and, when appropriate, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). These approaches can support individuals in understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact, processing difficult experiences, and developing strategies that promote psychological flexibility and resilience. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, recognising the impact that past experiences can have on present reactions, relationships, and coping mechanisms.
Having worked in multicultural contexts, I understand that cultural background, personal values, and life circumstances can shape how difficulties are experienced and expressed. I aim to adapt the therapeutic process to each individual’s context, taking into account personal history, identity, and current environment. This includes recognising the particular challenges that may arise when living abroad, managing professional responsibilities, or adjusting to new stages of life.
People often seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. In some cases, difficulties are linked to recent events; in others, they may reflect longer-standing patterns. Therapy can help clarify these patterns, reduce emotional distress, and support meaningful and lasting change. The process may involve developing greater self-understanding, strengthening coping resources, and identifying ways of responding to challenges that feel more aligned with personal values and priorities.
I offer a professional and supportive environment where therapy progresses at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of each person’s situation. Therapy can be a space not only to address difficulties, but also to reconnect with personal strengths, increase emotional awareness, and move towards a greater sense of clarity and direction.
