Andrea has travelled extensively all over the world over the last few decades, which has helped understand clients from different cultures. As such, she identifies as a multicultural therapist and has an interest in counselling people from different backgrounds. She is strongly committed to the profession and her work with clients and finds great satisfaction in seeing deep transformations change lives for the better. The therapist has a special interest is in supporting partners and relatives of people living with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and bipolar disorder (BD). Clients will learn skills to navigate symptoms of BPD/BD and learn about treatment theories and practices, with a focus on the carer's wellbeing.
Her specific training and ongoing professional development will provide you with the most up- to -date scientifically validated treatments.
Regular clinical supervision, a learning environment all therapists need to participate in to ensure their clients are cared for in the safest, most professional and effective manner.
She also attends her own weekly psychotherapy and have done for many years. In her view, one has to be in therapy to practise it.
