About me

I am a psychologist with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy from one of Romania's leading universities. I am also a member of NIP - The Dutch Institut of Psychologists, and I have over a decade of experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Over the years, I supported people through depression, OCD, panic attacks, health anxiety, sexual dysfunctions and relationship struggles, both in my private practice in Cluj-Napoca and through online sessions. After losing my mother to cancer and facing the shortcomings of the healthcare system in Romania, I went through a difficult year of grief. That experience changed me deeply and led me to relocate to The Netherlands, a place that felt more aligned with my values and ambitions. During a time when continuing psychotherapy work wasn’t easy, I turned to Human Resources, where I could still support others in meaningful ways. As a Recruitment Consultant in the Maritime Industry I helped professionals navigate big life transitions, developing even stronger skills in empathy, communication and connection. Through it all, my passion for mental health remained strong. I continued offering online counselling, helping people explore their inner worlds and find new ways to cope and grow. I believe in evidence-based techniques, particularly those rooted in CBT and ACT, but also in the power of a compassionate, human connection. I care deeply about helping people see things in a new light and find their own way through challenges. I work to create a space that feels safe, kind, and free of judgment. My approach is both practical and caring, I focus on finding real solutions while also offering support and reassurance when it's needed most. I value honesty, openness, kindness, humor, and a healthy dose of discipline— both in my work and personal life. In my free time, you’ll often find me doing yoga, bouldering, hiking, watching movies, or enjoying stand-up comedy and dance shows. I also love spending time with my partner and friends, and having meaningful conversations.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Sex therapyRecommended for individuals or couples who want help improving their sex life, intimacy, or overcoming sexual issues in a supportive environment.
My approach is eclectic, based on CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) principles. I believe in meeting you where you are, building on your strengths and working together to achieve a more fulfilling life. This could take some time, I will be honest. You cannot change overnight and there is no magic pill. Learning to overcome obstacles successfully, building resilience and healthy habits takes a few good months. And consistency is key. This is the reason I want to make psychological counselling accessible and flexible. Quality counselling shouldn't be out of reach! I offer a community-centered rate of €80 (€105 for couples) to support the diverse expat and Romanian community in Amsterdam. Choose the setting that feels right for you. You can meet me online, from the comfort of your home, or join me for a walking session in Vondelpark or Rembrandtpark, where movement and fresh air support the process in a natural, grounded way. We can also have classical in-person sessions.
