About me
Working in 3 international clinics in the Hague and Amsterdam, I am now working with clients independently in Amsterdam.
As an international myself, I am can understand the challenges associated with experiencing a new city, country and culture. Originally from the UK, I have gained experience working with expats in various contexts. I love working creatively with adults, young people and parents, using art, music or movement in treatment. Connecting with clients and finding ways to incorporate their interests into sessions is incredibly important in my role.

Approach
In individual sessions, I work eclectically with various approaches to suit the individual client and their question for help. I love to use the client’s interests in therapy and often combine creative activities in sessions. I mostly use CBT, ACT and DBT approaches but also combine MBT, family systems therapy, schema therapy, EMDR and motivational interviewing techniques.
The mission of The Sparrowhawk Practice is to extend a compassionate hand to internationals living in the Netherlands. I aim to create a warm, accepting, and open space to explore a person's or family’s perspective and support their development. It is important for me to work with what is most helpful for the person and/or family, to facilitate your aspirations for how you wish to live your lives.
