Clients are unique individuals with specific needs. You are at the centre of our sessions and guide the process of therapy.
During our time together we will build a comprehensive vision of your strengths and struggles. Our relationship is honest and collaborative, we set clear objectives that allow the treatment to be focused and deliver tangible results. My goal is to guide you from where you are to where you want to be.
"A therapist acts as a co-author who helps the client rewrite their story."
Sometimes we feel stuck in the same situation because we tend to solve problems by doing the same things. Over time, these attempted solutions become the problem. Systemic therapy works by observing what the client brings in as a problem, and helps the individual change their perspectives and find solutions.
Systemic therapy is focused by definition. We collaborate to construct goals that guide the therapeutic process leading to measurable results and shorter therapies.
The approach results in brief therapy, meaning fewer sessions to reach the client’s goal compared to other therapies. Meetings are usually held every two to four weeks to allow the process to unfold.
Systemic therapy is resource-oriented. We all possess certain qualities that help us navigate life more easily, which in therapy are called resources. Sometimes these resources become blocked and need to be made available again. We identify the client’s strengths and work to get the most out of them so that they can live the life they want to live.
