About me

Hi, I’m Lynn (she/they). I am a NIP registered psychologist and therapist based in Amsterdam. I provide therapy in-person in Amsterdam and EU-wide online. My goal is to empower you to reconnect with yourself and your values, fostering a sense of agency and balance in your life. I strive to provide a fully inclusive and warm environment for all, continually engaging in training and supervision to ensure my practice remains a safe space for everyone. Anyone who might feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood is welcome. I grew up in Luxembourg before moving to the Netherlands for my studies. My academic background includes: - a specialisation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), - a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Utrecht University which focused on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), - a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Leiden University - a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Amsterdam, and - an exchange diploma from Stellenbosch University. I speak six languages, including English, German and Luxembourgish in which I feel comfortable providing therapy. If your mother tongue is French, Spanish, or Dutch, know that I can keep basic conversations in those languages as well. Thank you for taking the time to get to learn a little bit about me. I offer a free 20-minutes introductory call so that we can get to know each other and feel whether we would be a good fit. The decision to continue therapy with me afterwards is entirely up to you, what matters most is that you feel comfortable and confident in taking a next step that feels right to you. I look forward to the possibility of working together and supporting you on your way to greater well-being.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Clients describe my therapeutic style as calming and collaborative. I aim to work with you as a team, meeting on equal ground rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life. Together, we will co-create sessions that adapt to your individual needs, ensuring there is always room to make adjustments as we go. My person-centred approach prioritises building a therapeutic space where you feel empowered to explore what may be holding you back, identify unhelpful patterns, and replace them with supportive, self-affirming ones. I integrate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and affirmative therapy. These approaches share a foundational belief that you are not defined by a diagnosis or label but are a complex individual navigating unique experiences. Together, we will view your thoughts and emotions as valid responses to life’s situations, working to align your actions with the values and goals that matter most to you. In addition, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a well-evidenced approach effective for many challenges. With regards to neurodiversity, I am specialised in ADHD and AuDHD. As someone with both lived and professional experience in neurodiversity, I know that being neurodivergent does not need "fixing". Instead, I see it as a blend of unique challenges and strengths that require a tailored approach. Our work will focus on helping you understand yourself and your neurodivergence. Together, we will build coping strategies adapted to your needs that honour who you are and support the life you want to live.
