About me

Natalia Maravegias holds an MSc in health psychology from the University of Nottingham and a BA in psychology from the American College of Greece. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and a Full Fellow in Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, from The Hellenic Affiliated Center of The Albert Ellis Institute, NY, USA. She is also a Founding Member of the Hellenic Association of School Psychology-HASP. I am a firm believer that embarking on the journey of internal exploration and emotional growth, is key in helping you maintain a sense of balance in your personal, professional, and social life. Each phase of our lives can have its hardships, but it is the way that we perceive and therefore cope with the situation that can ultimately make the difference.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
Through rational-emotive cognitive behavioral therapy you will explore a different perspective about your emotions, thought processes, and learned behaviors. The ultimate goal is to help you develop more rational thinking processes resulting in healthier emotions that will allow you to feel comfortable and confident in your everyday life. In a more rational emotive cognitive behavioral approach, ineffective thinking and behavioral patterns are identified and worked on in an effort to replace them with more effective thought processes which consequently create healthier behavioral and emotional responses. Through this process, you will be able to identify, accept, and work in effective ways to manage daily concerns, and difficulties you are faced with during each phase of your life.
