About me

I am an EU-licensed psychologist with over a decade of deep immersion in clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and neuropsychopharmacology. My clinical journey began in Greece and expanded to Sweden, where I earned my Master’s and PhD at Uppsala University, researching how the brain, neurosteroids, stress systems, and hormones interact to shape our emotional reality.

Having navigated my own personal journey with mental illness and neurodivergence, I bring profound empathy, intuition, and authentic human presence into the therapy room. I view therapy not as a cold clinical procedure, but as a collaborative, deeply compassionate space where science meets lived experience.

I work extensively with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, stress-related conditions, life transitions, and neuroendocrine vulnerabilities (such as PMDD/PME and hormonal mood shifts).

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
DBT: Dialectical behaviour therapyRecommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.

My therapeutic philosophy is grounded in holistic psychiatry and clinical neuroscience. I recognize that your thoughts and emotions do not exist in a vacuum, they are part of an intricate, dynamic interplay between the body, mind, endocrine system, and environment. Behavior and mood are the natural outcomes of your physiological state, neural networks, life history, and daily context.

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. While my primary therapeutic framework is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I seamlessly integrate evidence-based tools across multiple modalities to create a tailored, holistic experience:

  • Mind-Body & Somatic Awareness: Incorporating physiological regulation, nervous system grounding, and nervous-system psychoeducation to address anxiety, stress, and hormonal sensitivity at the root.

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helping you make space for difficult emotions, stop fighting unhelpful thoughts, and reconnect with your core values.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills: Equipping you with practical emotional regulation and distress tolerance tools for when feelings feel overwhelming.

  • Lifestyle, Endocrinological & Environmental Integration: Looking at your sleep, stress systems, life history, and daily environment as active pillars of your mental health.

  • Dialectic & Reflective Discourse: Fostering meaningful, compassionate, and sometimes philosophical conversations to deepen self-awareness and personal meaning.

In our work together, we set clear, realistic goals while honoring your unique complexity as a whole human being.
