Process Work is an awareness-based method created by Dr. Arnold Mindell. It is a method that combines various psychotherapeutic approaches and in this way tries to follow each person's process or procedure.
It is a holistic and non-judgmental approach that doesn't view your inner experiences as "wrong" or "problematic," but instead, seeks to understand them and find wisdom and solutions within disturbances that come up in our lives.
This approach helps people to become aware and integrate more unknown parts of themselves that want to emerge and be lived out more in their lives.
It uses many ways to work with people as its aim is to really follow each person’s individual process.
Some of them include:
Talking, working with dreams and body symptoms, working with movement, using art and mindfulness, processing emotions, and more.
Its fluid nature allows the therapist to really follow and adapt to the client’s unique process.
Lastly, because of its practical and experiential framework experiencing it yourself will answer a lot more questions than any written explanation can.
