As a therapist, I work to explore your present-day struggles, and trace their source wounds in your past- leaving your life more fulfilling and free. I offer sessions in English and online ✨
As a clinical psychologist with training across every spectrum of psychiatric disorders (according to the American Psychiatric Association, DSM V) I bring my unique style of therapy to all types of clients.
🫂 My specialty and area of interest lie in people, by the means of analysing them through the relationships they build (interpersonal or romantic), communication, couples, and attachment. I believe that the lenses we use to find them and the tools we use to sustain them are rooted in the past. In my work with my patients, I use these behaviours to find emotional wounds in their memory. Wounds that get triggered at various times in our lives, leaving us breathless and struggling to cope.
👀 Common Entry Points of my clients: ✨ I think there's something missing in my life and I can't figure it out; Something happened in my childhood that has started to bother me recently; the effects of my/my partner's anxiety and depression have started to compromise other areas of my life, my relationship doesn't feel the same anymore; I've started to feel really empty recently; I really wish my relationship with my family were different; I can't stop thinking about my ex; ... 💪🏼Work Areas: Recognising core philosophies of life that aren't working for you anymore, past trauma that haunts you still, emotional wounds, healing patterns of thinking that don't lead anywhere, bringing you back from suffering to living with fulfillment, prioritising yourself, questioning fantasies and delusions, restoring your ability to attach and connect with life/love/people again...
So, if you're looking for a "therapist near me," I seek to bring healing right to you, remotely, and in my first-language English.
In our sessions, we will navigate tools of psychodynamic therapy, tenets of psychoanalysis, schema therapy, and DBT alongside the inner child and compassion-based work. We'll explore unmet emotional needs, unravel the present perspective of life that's causing troubles, and work on setting healthy goals for your life that are achievable as well as life-enhancing.
Additionally, I prefer mindfulness-based treatments for active healing of even complex trauma and navigating present issues through one's earliest relationships. Learning tools for your relationships, uncovering patterns of your childhood through your present connections, improving your quality of life, optimising all domains of your life, coping with life stressors, and building resilience for your life outside through practice with me, we will charter through it all- at your own pace and time.
📝Other psychotherapy techniques and approaches I use come from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ACT, Humanistic Therapy/Gestalt Therapy, [Secular] Spiritual Care, etc.
🧑🏼❤️🧑🏽 I also provide couples therapy / relationship counselling sessions: first with the primary client, their partner, and then sessions together. LGBTQIAP+ 🏳️🌈, PoC, Neurodivergence sensitive/inclusive care!
