Psychologist experienced with expats and cultural transitions. Grounded in psychoanalysis, I offer a safe space to explore identity, emotions, and the unfinished chapters within each person.
I am a licensed psychologist from Brazil with experience in both public mental health services and private practice. Over the years, I have worked with people facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties, as well as those navigating life transitions such as migration, cultural adjustment, or career change. My professional journey has included working in community mental health centers, where I learned the value of listening to stories often silenced, and also in private settings, where I supported individuals in their search for personal meaning and emotional balance.
I believe therapy is more than symptom relief — it is about opening possibilities to see oneself differently, to process pain, and to encounter new ways of relating to the world. For me, every therapeutic encounter is a collaborative journey, where listening and dialogue allow hidden or repeated patterns to emerge and be re-elaborated into new narratives.
I also bring my own personal experience of living abroad. During an exchange program in Canada, I spent six months away from home and faced the challenges of building a new life in a different culture. That time helped me understand how disorienting — yet also transformative — it can feel to leave familiar surroundings behind. This experience deepened my sensitivity toward those who live between cultures and inspired me to support expats and international clients in creating a sense of belonging, wherever they are.
My work is rooted in psychoanalysis, and I hold close the meaning of the word itself: an analysis of the psyche. For me, this means creating a space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences — even those that seem contradictory or difficult to express — can be spoken and explored. I believe that therapy is not about rushing to give answers, but about listening deeply, so that what has been silenced can emerge.
In our sessions, I pay attention to both what is said and what is left unsaid. Together, we trace the patterns, repetitions, and hidden stories that shape your life. Sometimes these appear in relationships, in dreams, in language, or even in the small details of everyday life. By bringing them into awareness, we open the possibility of understanding not only symptoms, but also the deeper questions of identity, desire, and belonging.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, where my role is to accompany you with presence and curiosity. I do not impose ready-made solutions, but instead help you create space for your own discoveries. My aim is to provide a reflective, supportive environment in which you can encounter yourself more fully and give new meaning to your story.
