Master of Education (Ed.M.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychological Counseling (Mental Health Counseling Focus) Teachers College, Columbia University
Are you a young adult with a multicultural background, struggling to find your footing? As a South Asian therapist, I understand how culture impacts both family and personal relationships, as well as career goals. I'm here to help you move through personal challenges, ease emotional burdens, and live a more purpose-filled life by exploring your strengths and values and giving you the tools you can use every day to ease anxiety. Together, we will work in a safe space where you can explore and discover the best way to achieve balance between your culture, family, and overall well-being.
I believe each client is unique, so I use an eclectic and client-centered approach to personalize your experience while encouraging your curiosity, exploration, and growth. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, feminist, psychodynamic, and multicultural approaches, we will work together to manage anxiety, worry, and doubt so you can feel fulfilled.
In our sessions, I will equip you with tools and resources to use in your daily life, no matter the circumstances. I'm here to help you gain insight and control over your struggles so you can live free from anxiety. To help ease you into meeting with a new counselor, I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can get to know each other.
