As a compassionate therapist specializing in ACT and Schema therapy, my mission is to guide people toward living a life with fulfilling relationships with themselves and others
Hi, I'm Anna, a therapist based in Barcelona and an expat from Russia.
My own path to becoming a therapist began when I recognized how deeply people-pleasing had shaped my life. For years, I found myself saying yes when I meant no, prioritizing others' needs over my own, and losing myself in the process. This pattern led me into a cycle of struggle and unfulfilling relationships where I felt unseen and unheard.
Alongside this, I battled with perfectionism that paradoxically led to procrastination. The fear of not doing something perfectly kept me from starting at all, creating a frustrating loop of high expectations and delayed action. Through my own therapeutic journey, I discovered how these patterns were interconnected — how the need to be perfect and the need to please others both stemmed from deeper fears about worthiness and acceptance.
Today, I work with people who struggle with similar challenges: anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, and the pressure to always do the "right" thing — even when it comes at the cost of their own well-being.
I understand firsthand how exhausting it is to live behind a mask of having it all together while feeling lost inside. My approach comes from both professional training and personal experience, helping clients break free from these patterns to build more authentic, fulfilling lives where they can honor their own needs without guilt.
Many of my clients find themselves stuck in roles shaped by early expectations: being the “good girl,” the “nice guy,” the one who keeps the peace, works hard, doesn’t complain, and never feels quite enough.
These patterns often lead to burnout, difficulties in relationships, and a deep sense of disconnection from one’s own needs and values.
In therapy, we explore how these strategies once helped you feel safe — and how they might be limiting you now. Together, we work on building a different way of relating to yourself and others: with more clarity, self-respect, and emotional freedom.
My approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based methods, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
I aim to offer a thoughtful, attuned, and collaborative space where you can better understand your patterns and take meaningful steps toward living in a way that feels more authentic and sustainable.
Clients often come to me to:
manage anxiety and perfectionism;
improve self-worth and reduce guilt;
set and maintain boundaries;
navigate relationships with more confidence and honesty.
If you're ready to make space for yourself and your needs — not out of selfishness, but out of self-respect — I’d be glad to support you in that process!
Therapist in Private Practice, ACT and Schema Therapy
I work with people who are tired of holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside. Many of my clients come to me after years of trying to be the reliable one, the one who never disappoints. In our sessions, we look at how these patterns formed and what they’re costing you today. My work combines ACT and Schema Therapy to help you understand your emotional world, set healthier boundaries, and finally make space for your own needs without guilt.
Therapist and Program Facilitator at the project dedicated to women mental wellbeing
In this women’s program, I supported participants who felt stuck in old roles of the “good girl,” the overachiever, the peacekeeper. Together, we worked on letting go of shame and learning to trust your own voice. This experience shaped my belief that real change happens when we feel seen and supported to take small steps toward a more authentic life.
Research and Clinical Specialist at Science PSY2.0
My work here focused on understanding how stress, shame, and self-worth affect both emotional and physical well-being. I helped translate research findings into practical tools clients could use in everyday life. This background allows me to offer therapy focused on the body.
Early Clinical Experience
Before specializing in ACT and Schema Therapy, I supported clients dealing with anxiety, chronic stress, and mind–body symptoms. I witnessed how deeply our patterns and past traumas shape the way we fe
