Struggling with feeling "stuck"? Finding life too complicated? I provide a compassionate, safe, non-judgmental, collaborative space to help navigate life’s challenges and build a life guided by what truly matters to you.
For much of my life, I felt stuck in patterns of restlessness and dissatisfaction. I kept myself constantly busy, often to the point of total exhaustion, trying to outrun a sense of discomfort that followed me like a dark cloud. My path to becoming a therapist began in 2019 while helping establish an intentional community. I quickly realised I needed better tools to handle the complexity of being human and building a life with others. This is when I discovered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) an it completely changed by life.
For many years I had struggled with social anxiety. I had learned to "perform" as an extrovert, but I never felt truly present in my own life. Through ACT, I had a life-changing realisation: the problem wasn't the anxious thoughts themselves, but my exhausting attempts to control and erase them. This discovery felt like a "superpower". By learning to make space for difficult experiences rather than fighting them, I was able to unhook my attention and finally connect with the presence I had been missing. This sense of freedom was so profound that I abandoned my career in IT to dedicate myself to deepening my journey with ACT. This process also brought light to my neurodiversity. For some years, I knew I was dyslexic, but I couldn't explain my "archaeological museum" of unfinished projects or my intense executive control struggles. A family diagnosis eventually made it clear: I am ADHD and slightly ASD. Understanding this—and using ACT to stop the impossible task of "performing neurotypical"—allowed me to finally accept and embrace who I am. Instead of constantly fighting trying to be someone I am not, I was able to approach my situation with kindness, compassion and curiosity and find paths forward which lead to a more meaningful and fulfilling experience of my life.
I believe part of our current mental health crisis stems from a loss of meaning and fragmented lives. In our work together, my goal is to help you heal these wounds, move toward collective meaning, and find your own sense of freedom.
I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a practical and versatile approach designed to help you build a life guided by your values rather than being controlled by social expectations, self-doubt, or painful past experiences. Instead of exhausting yourself trying to suppress or "fix" difficult thoughts and emotions, we work together to develop psychological flexibility. This means learning to stay grounded and focused on what truly matters to you, even when life feels overwhelming.
My style is collaborative, neurodivergent-affirming, and trauma-informed. I believe that much of our suffering doesn't come from the thoughts themselves, but from the energy we spend fighting internal experiences. In our sessions, I help you:
• Stop the Fight: Learn to stay grounded and notice painful thoughts without getting "hooked" by them. • Clarify What Matters: Cut through social expectations to find your core values—who you want to be and how you want to experience your life. • Take Committed Action: Use your energy to move toward those values with concrete, meaningful steps.
I offer a free 30-minute introductory call to see if we are a good fit and to answer any questions you have. We’ll look at where you’re currently getting stuck, what you’ve already tried, and what "unworkable patterns" we might want to shift. Rather than just talking about problems, we will focus on building active skills—like mindfulness and perspective-taking—that you can use in your daily life. ACT is effective for a wide range of challenges. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with:
• Neurodivergence: Moving away from "performing neurotypical" toward self-compassion and authentic living. • Depression: Connect with motivation and openness to the things which bring you satisfaction. • Anxiety and overthinking: Replacing cycles of worry and self-criticism with presence. • Burnout and stress: Reconnecting with your needs and setting healthy boundaries that work. • Relationship challenges and ethical non-monogamy: Connect with others more authentically and reduce avoidance and guilt. • Chronic pain: How to have a meaningful life even with the presence of pain.
Whether we work together for a single targeted session or engage in a longer-term comprehensive plan, my goal is to help you move toward a richer, fuller life—even while challenges remain.
