“The patient needs to be given the love that was missing and made them ill.” These words by Sándor Ferenczi, a Hungarian psychoanalyst and Freud’s close friend, express how I think about therapy.
I am an accredited psychologist (MA) trained in Hungary, currently living in the beautiful city of Barcelona. Here I am continuing my training in Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, which has deepened my understanding of how relationships can both create long-lasting wounds and offer the possibility for healing.
My path in psychology began at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology, specializing in Clinical and Health Psychology. During my studies, I spent a transformative year at the University of Barcelona through the Erasmus program, an experience that inspired my return after completing my Master’s.
The relational psychoanalytic approach has its roots in the work of Sándor Ferenczi, the first Hungarian psychoanalyst and a close friend of Freud, whose humane and deeply relational view of therapy continues to inspire me.
I offer support in working through family and romantic difficulties, and in deepening self-understanding. Our work often involves exploring attachment patterns shaped in childhood and discovering how they continue to influence the present.
Having lived abroad myself, I understand the challenges that come with distance. I’m especially committed to supporting those who are trying to find stability, closeness, and a sense of authenticity in a new environment.
If you feel it’s hard to find your place, that you’ve become isolated, or that your relationships bring unexpected challenges, please remember: you’re not alone.
