About me

I trained as a psychologist at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy, and as a Gestalt therapist at the Belgrade Gestalt Institute. My work is integrative, drawing primarily from Gestalt therapy while incorporating insights from somatic approaches and psychoanalytic thinking. I enjoy continuing my education through reading, trainings, and supervision across these modalities.

Before focusing exclusively on psychotherapy, I worked in humanitarian settings, providing psychological first aid as part of crisis intervention teams supporting displaced populations. I also completed a one-year internship at the Neurology Clinic, which provided a valuable experience working with people facing complex neurological and psychological challenges. Along the way, I've also worked in education and organizational development.

I have lived and worked in several countries, and these experiences sparked my interest in themes of belonging, identity, cultural adaptation, and life transitions. These topics became the focus of my final Gestalt therapy thesis, exploring the lived experience of expatriate life through a phenomenological lens.

I am based in Barcelona, Spain, and currently offer only online psychotherapy.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Gestalt therapyRecommended for those who want to focus on the present and take responsibility for their feelings and actions to promote personal growth.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.

My approach to therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs, experiences, and goals. Many people seek therapy because they feel stuck in some area of their lives, often accompanied by feelings of shame, self-doubt, or overwhelm. Our work begins by exploring where you feel stuck and identifying where you would like to be if therapy were successful. Together, we develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that may be keeping you from living the life you want, while working toward meaningful and lasting change. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. Through a safe, collaborative, and supportive relationship, clients gradually develop the ability to become compassionate and honest with themselves. A central focus of my work is helping clients strengthen self-awareness, regulate emotions, cultivate mindfulness, and relate to themselves with greater curiosity and compassion rather than self-criticism. As self-acceptance grows, shame begins to lose its grip, creating space for greater resilience, authenticity, and personal growth. My goal is to help clients build the insight and skills they need not only to navigate current challenges, but to continue supporting themselves long after therapy has ended.
