Coming from a background in sociology, I focus on how our social environment, relationships, and community shape our experiences and challenges. I strive to identify recurring themes, narratives, and power dynamics that may contribute to both internal and external conflicts. I also incorporate elements of gestalt and art psychotherapy, focusing on emotions and reactions that clients bring into the therapeutic space, while staying attuned to the “here and now.”
For me, the arts have offered a way to make sense of complex feelings, and heal old emotional wounds. The systemic approach, on the other hand, explores the family and social frameworks in which we grow up. I believe that, through exploring family dynamics, empathy, and creativity, therapy becomes a process of learning how to establish authentic connections—both with ourselves and with others.
