I'm an Individual and Group Therapist, I have a background in therapeutic communities and believe in working with distress over a diagnosis. I have lived in South India and in Italy and the experience of being an international student has encouraged me to hold more spaces for them. I became a mental health practitioner to understand what motivates people to make meaning of the world in the way that they do and why sometimes it is an “illness” and other times it is not. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and want to create spaces in communities for people to hear and be heard.
I hold an open, unstructured, explorative space for people to think about and reflect on whatever they wish to and believe in choice-awareness over a rigid solution focused approach. I'm a relational psychotherapist and help people think about the roles they play in everyday life. I also focus on the relationship between myself and the person I work with, because I believe that difficulties in everyday life can come into the therapy room and need to be held and spoken about.
