About me

I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in clinical psychology (accredited by BDP and APA) and have worked in a diversity of professional settings, ranging from mental health hospitals to private clinics and neuroscientific research positions. As a private psychotherapist, I provided cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat affective disorder, addiction and obesity patients and psychotherapy rehabilitation services for chronic patients along with their psychopharmacotherapy. During those initial years, I got interested in the neural mechanism of psychotherapy and worked in different neuroscientific research positions thereafter. My approach is CBT and I use state-of-art findings in neuroscience to reach better outcomes.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
Understanding the problem is halfway to solving it. We formulate the problem via talking about your recent experiences. Your experience consists of your thoughts/beliefs, emotions, and overt actions after confronting a trigger. After understanding the problem and searching for potential diagnoses, we agree on priorities, potential solutions, how long we need to address the problem, and/or potential referrals. A session of cognitive-behavior therapy includes talking about your experiences, going over what you did in previous sessions, discussing what progress you've made, and agreeing on some activities to work on in your own time.
