Understanding the problem is halfway to solving it. We formulate the problem via talking about your recent experiences. Your experience consists of your thoughts/beliefs, emotions, and overt actions after confronting a trigger.
After understanding the problem and searching for potential diagnoses, we agree on priorities, potential solutions, how long we need to address the problem, and/or potential referrals.
A session of cognitive-behavior therapy includes talking about your experiences, going over what you did in previous sessions, discussing what progress you've made, and agreeing on some activities to work on in your own time.
