About me

I am a Doctor in Psychology and clinical psychologist, offering individual and couples therapy with over 19 years of clinical experience. Throughout my career, I have supported people dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and periods of crisis, always with a focus on understanding each person’s unique story and context. I offer individual and couples therapy, and my work is especially informed by an international and multicultural perspective. Having lived and worked in different countries, I am experienced in supporting people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including expats and internationally mobile individuals. Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
IFS: Internal Family SystemsRecommended for those who want to explore and heal the different parts of themselves that might feel conflicted or overwhelmed.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, empathic, and non-judgmental. I see therapy as a shared process where we work together to better understand what is happening in your inner world and in your relationships. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore emotions, patterns, and life experiences at your own pace, while developing tools that help you navigate challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion. I work from an integrative, evidence-based perspective, drawing mainly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches. This allows me to adapt the therapeutic process to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I pay close attention to the broader context of your life, including personal, relational, professional, and cultural factors. Having lived and worked in different countries, I bring a culturally sensitive and internationally informed perspective to my work. https://www.dralexcarmona.com/en
