English speaking Clinical Psychologist based in Berlin. I use a blended approach to support you in tackling life's difficulties by providing a safe and empathic space for individuals to understand & cope better.
Hi, I’m Dominique. I’m a Clinical Psychologist from South Africa, now based in Berlin. Having lived in Zambia, Tanzania, Vietnam, and Germany, I understand firsthand how enriching—but also challenging—life transitions and cultural adjustments can be. These experiences deeply shape the way I connect with clients: with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine understanding of how complex life can feel.
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief, and relationship challenges. I also have a particular passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals, people with ADHD, autism, or those who simply feel they experience the world differently. My approach is warm, affirming, and strengths-based, always tailored to your unique needs.
Areas of Focus ➡️ Anxiety and panic ➡️ Low self-esteem and emotional regulation ➡️ ADHD / Autism ➡️ Depression and stress management ➡️ Grief, loss, and life transitions ➡️ Relationship and interpersonal difficulties
I am also registered as a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie in Germany (Gesundheitsamt Lichtenberg).
Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. In sessions, I balance gentle listening with practical strategies (and even a bit of humor when it helps). I draw on psychodynamic insights, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. What that means in practice is: we’ll explore the patterns that might be holding you back, while also building concrete tools to help you manage difficult feelings and move toward the life you want.
What You Can Expect
Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about creating a safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood — and where we work together on what matters most to you. I see therapy as a partnership: you bring your story and expertise in your own life, and I bring guidance, perspective, and evidence-based tools.
I also bring a neurodiversity-affirming lens to my work, valuing and honoring the unique ways neurodiverse individuals experience the world. Whether you identify with ADHD, autism, or other neurological differences, I am here to support your strengths while helping you navigate challenges in a way that feels empowering and authentic.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about yourself and your next steps, I’d be glad to meet you and walk alongside you in the process.
Please note, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all consultation sessions
