About me

I am a Berlin-based psychologist with a multidisciplinary background in clinical psychology, art, music and media management — complemented in recent years by experience in software product management and digital health. This broad experience informs my understanding of how people move through different personal, creative, and professional worlds. In the course of my life, I have already climbed some high mountains, crossed a few deep valleys, and spent a couple of years on the psychoanalytical couch myself. Through successfully overcoming the challenges that life has thrown at me, I have developed a strong sense of empathy and awareness which, alongside my psychological training, form a cornerstone of my therapeutic work. During my studies, my focus was very much on psychodynamic psychology/psychoanalysis, which contributes to my dedication to a more philosophical discourse within my therapeutic work that aims to give meaning to lived experiences and support my clients to embark on a new path that leads them on a journey of continuous self-exploration. I primarily work with individuals and couples that are struggling with: - Emotional distress - Life transitions - Relationship issues - Personality problems / disorders - Sexuality - Depression - Anxiety - Trauma - Narcissistic abuse - Existential questions - Professional challenges and burnout My work focuses on understanding internal patterns, relational dynamics, and the unconscious forces that influence how we experience ourselves and others. While my foundation is psychodynamic, I am usually following a more pragmatic approach depending on the client and situational needs. Every process is as unique as the people who bring it to life together. It is therefore of great importance to me to always keep this in perspective during my work and to respond to the individual needs of each client accordingly. I aim to meet people where they are — thoughtfully, respectfully, and with genuine curiosity. I enjoy working with people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, social classes, and backgrounds. Important note: All my services are provided within the scope of my work as psychologist and non-medical practitioner (psychotherapy).

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
My work is particularly grounded in a psychodynamic perspective of the human mind that focuses on the unconscious processes shaping our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We are often oblivious of the beliefs, fears, and expectations that influence our perception and the way we live our lives, as they lie deeply hidden within the unconscious mind. Unfortunately, this lack of awareness can lead us to repetitive relational dynamics, emotional conflict, or a sense of being stuck in terms of emotional, creative, or professional development. Together, we will explore your inner world, past and present relationships, and significant life events to better understand these patterns that shape your current perception and behavior. By exploring your unconscious motives and desires, we can begin to understand why you react, behave, choose, or relate in certain ways – whether in a private or professional context. Ultimately, the aim of our work is not quick symptom relief but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, which fosters greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and the ability to engage with life’s challenges more freely. This understanding can open space for new perspectives, healthier relationships, and more authentic choices. A meaningful therapeutic working process requires trust, openness, and authenticity. I offer a non-judgmental and open space where all thoughts and feelings can be expressed, even those that may initially seem unpleasant or unsettling. Thus, during the first session(s), we will get to know each other and see whether we are a good match for working together over a longer period of time. We will also discuss your specific goals, the frequency of our sessions, and the expected duration of the process.
