Supporting expats, international professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders navigating life transitions, burnout, anxiety, and the challenges of living and working across countries and cultures.
I am a psychotherapist licensed in Germany, specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and hold a doctoral degree in medical science (Dr. rer. medic.) from Charité – Berlin. In addition to my clinical work, I have spent more than a decade working in global mental health as an expert with the World Health Organization, developing training programmes for mental health professionals and shaping international guidance on mental health policy, stigma reduction, and human rights in mental health care.
This international perspective informs my clinical work and my understanding of how psychological wellbeing is shaped not only by individual experiences but also by the environments people live and work in. Many of my clients are expats or professionals navigating demanding careers, relocation, or the challenges of adapting to a different cultural environment, as well as important personal or professional transitions.
In my clinical work, I support adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, depression, stress, panic attacks, grief, relationship difficulties, and other emotional challenges that can arise during times of pressure, uncertainty, or change.
I offer therapy in both English and German and reserve a limited number of reduced-rate sessions for students, trainees, and those experiencing financial hardship, representing approximately 20% of my available slots.
My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that people deserve to be understood within the context of their lived experience - not reduced to a diagnosis, but seen as individuals with their own histories, strengths, and challenges. I aim to foster an open and de-stigmatised understanding of mental health as an integral part of overall wellbeing.
My therapeutic approach is both evidence-based and tailored to the individual. It is grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), while also integrating elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), schema therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and systemic perspectives depending on the individual situation. This allows therapy to remain both structured and flexible, drawing on different tools and perspectives to support meaningful and practical change.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together we work toward developing new perspectives, strengthening emotional resources and coping strategies, and finding ways to navigate challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-awareness.
