Therapy, for me, is a shared journey. I see my role as a witness, a companion, and, when needed, someone who can offer practical tools. My work is grounded in self-compassion, acceptance, skill-building, and mindfulness.

About me

Hi, I am Maxim, 38 years old, born in Russia and living in Berlin since 2017.

The way I work is integrative, with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I'm also drawn to existential and psychodynamic ideas, which naturally shape how I work. I have a particular interest in neurodiversity-affirming therapy and new insights from neuroscience.
Alongside my therapy training, I've studied systemic and career coaching. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in IT and HR -- my first degree is in computer science and mathematics.

If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, or sleep issues, I’m here to help. I also support clients navigating identity-related challenges and relationship dynamics, including non-monogamy. My practice is a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals, where you can explore your experiences without judgment.

If you're neurodivergent -- diagnosed or or self-identified -- I integrate strategies specifically designed for ADHD and Autism (with lower support needs), helping you balance skill-building with self-acceptance.

We can also work through unresolved childhood experiences that may still be affecting your self-worth, relationships, and emotional well-being.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
I believe therapy should be both structured and flexible. Some clients seek guidance and practical tools; others need a space to be heard and understood without pressure. I adjust my role based on your needs whether that means taking an active, structured approach or creating a reflective space for exploration.

I often use cognitive-behavioral methods like thoughts reframing and behavioral experiments but therapy isn’t just about techniques, it’s also about being together in a shared space, with our emotions, as we are.
I also integrate somatic approaches, especially when working with anxiety, as emotions are not just thoughts but embodied experiences.

My goal is to help you remove barriers to personal growth so you can build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
