I am licensed psychologist (M.Sc.) and a couples therapist. I work regarding the science based Gottman Method Couples therapy, which has excellent results in couples who want to break through repetitive conflicts where they feel stucked, and to deal with these conflict situations constructively. I work with couples in a 90-minute sessions. The Gottman Method Couples Therapy is based on extensive longitudinal research on 3000+ couples. The method combines the knowledge and wisdom of scientific studies and clinical practice, and it works resource- and solution-oriented. It is a method for couples therapy that combines several therapy approaches, and have great success rates. It is designed to teach specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy in your relationship, and to help you constructively manage conflicts. With this method, I help couples to develop understanding for each other, and to (re)create healthy, lasting relationships.
I've counselled hundreds of couples on diverse relationship topics. Most of them are young couples in committed relationships, and many of them also have children. I am helping couples to move from conflicts, unhealthy patterns, and emotional disengagement towards a fulfilling, lasting relationship.
I have obtained my B.Sc. Psychology at the LMU Munich in Germany, and my master's degree in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, where I've also done a research on the topic of romantic relationships and substance usage. I am also a certified NLP Practitioner and I continue to educate myself in different areas of couples therapy, such as the "Clinical Training Gottman Method Couples Therapy", Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and extension-courses on sexuality in relationships and treating affairs.
