I hold a Bachelor's in Drama and Acting, a Master's in Arts, and a PhD in Theatre Studies and Practices from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Additionally, I trained as a Dramatherapist / Theatre Therapist at the Institute of Dramatherapy in Germany (University of Freiburg, certified by the DGfT) and as a Psychocorporeal Therapist in the Cognitive Body Integration Model (CBIM). I have also worked as a theatre director and educator and have participated in various research projects linking theatre with society. My doctoral field study was conducted in a psychiatric clinic in Berlin, where I lived for nine years. My research focuses on the relationship between the arts, theatricality, and corporeal approaches in mental health treatments."
In the first part of the session, we will have a conversation from which we extract the issues to work on. Depending on what needs to be addressed, the most appropriate exercises will be chosen for each moment of the process. Some of these may include: bodily exercises to inhabit different emotions, recognize them, distinguish them, and train them if necessary. Acting and character creation to recognize them within oneself or train specific attitudes. Role-playing techniques, scenes, monologues, or the representation of relational systems, among others.
