About me

As an English speaking therapist, I have experience of working in both the UK National Health Service (NHS) and privately in a clinic in Berlin. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire and the Heilpratiker für Psychotherapie in Berlin. I have worked with clients in the UK and Berlin experiencing a range of conditions such as bereavement, work related stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. I have also provided therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents with autism and learning disabilities, young offenders, and eating disorders. I have also supported parents with regards to child behavioural interventions. I specialise in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR); Narrative Therapy; Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); Mindfulness; Schema Therapy and Systemic work.

I speak:

English

Location:

Dirschauer Straße 1, 10245 Berlin, Germany

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.

Through my work, I have developed an interest in the psychological impact on health such as the application of mindfulness strategies. I like to adopt a person centred approach when working with clients and I am conscious of adapting interventions to fit client needs such as those with communication difficulties.
