If you feel low, anxious, stressed, angry or simply want to talk with a professional, I am here for you. Since 2015, I offer safe and confidential in person and online therapy to people across the globe.
Hi, and welcome to my profile page. I am Hannaa - a fully qualified Psychotherapist - member of the UKCP (detailed qualifications below) and I offer supervision for therapist.
My interest in psychology and the field of psychotherapy was awake from an early age. Growing up between Europe and Africa, I developed a passion and fascination towards cultures. Over the past 17 years, I have been travelling, studying and collecting experiences. I felt enriched by meeting and working with people from all over the world. Since, I opened my private practice in 2016, I have seen clients dealing with relationship difficutlies, anger, depression and low self-esteem, work related stress, self-harm and suicide, feelings of disempowerment and hoplessness, fears & cross-road decisions, among other. Many also brought defined worries to therapy, such as cultural integration issues and questions on identity. https://www.psychotherapy.org.uk/therapist/Hannaa-El-Sayed-0AcwnAAC
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a wide range of theoretical backgrounds, including; person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, relational psychotherapy and body psychotherapy.
I completed 6 years of training in psychotherapy and counselling, building on 4 years of Bachelor and Master studies in Psychology. Using a person-specific and integrative approach means that I adapt therapy to your needs and goals. In a non-judgemental and safe environment there is space for you to feel free to bring what you choose. This can help you go deeper within yourself and find meaning or support you in sharing your experiences. The approach I use is relational. That is, I respect and value the uniqueness of each person's experience and identity, my presence is facilitative and supportive towards your expertise.
I work both on a short-term and open ended basis, and abide by the code of ethics of high standard professional bodies. My training is accredited by BACP and I am a full-clinical member of UKCP.
