Are you facing a crisis, conflict, or difficult decision and feel like you can't find a way forward? I look forward to exploring with you how to mobilize your resources and expand your options for action!
As a state-approved psychotherapist, I work with individuals, families, and couples seeking psychological treatment and professional support during crises, conflicts, or difficult decision-making processes.
After more than 6 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient psychotherapeutic work and extensive training in Systemic Therapy, I am excited to bring my professional passion, expertise, and practical knowledge to our work together.
My extensive career and personal life experience—including living in different countries, navigating partnership and parenthood, founding a family, and establishing professional self-employment—enable me to empathize deeply with my clients’ experiences and to grasp the complexities of relationship and family dynamics.
In my private practice in Berlin-Schöneberg, I provide a respectful and trusting environment, supporting you in:
• (Re)discovering and strengthening hidden resources, • Developing new and helpful perspectives, • Exploring new options for action, • Strengthening access to your emotions and utilizing them, • Changing blocking or energy-draining relationship dynamics, • Involving significant others in the treatment/counseling process, where appropriate.
Key assumptions underlying my work include:
• You are the expert of your own life and already carry the solution within you. • Problems arise in interpersonal relationships (and in the relationship with ourselves). • Circular causality: every behavior is both a cause and an effect.
I am convinced of the effectiveness of multi-person settings and encourage you to involve significant others or family members in the sessions to address and foster beneficial changes. If this is not possible or desired, we consider the perspectives of relevant system members in individual settings. Positive change can occur both internally (e.g., shifts in inner attitudes) and externally (e.g., changes in interactions).
In addition to systemic methods, I incorporate hypnosystemic and body-oriented techniques, as well as methods from psychodrama, art therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), based on my personal interests and qualifications.
