About me

I am a neuroscientist and dance movement therapist. After having focussed on the human psyche from a more scientific perspective during my studies, I got to know the power of dance and body work when I moved to Berlin in 2011. I trained as a dance movement therapist to learn more about the many ways to address psychological problems by integrating verbal and body psychotherapy methods. For me creative and bodily expression are the strongest source of clarity, depth and vitality within myself. Whenever I face a problem, I try to dance, write, sing, paint and move it – and I always feel more connected and clear afterwards. My aims in life are to help and connect people and to support their personal growth. Experiencing how my therapeutic work allows this makes me deeply happy and thankful.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Body therapyRecommended for those who want to connect their mind and body to release stress or trauma through physical sensations and movement.
Solution-focused therapyRecommended for those who want quick, practical solutions to their problems without focusing too much time on the past.
My work is based on the assumption that body and mind are two inseparable units (as stated by the concept of embodiment). I believe that all emotional, cognitive and spiritual experiences are lived out not only in our thoughts, but equally in the body. Through working with the moving body, I thus aim at in integration of those levels. I want to help you find more connection to yourself, access your own resources and experience new possibilities when facing life’s challenges. I hope to help you help yourself by supporting and witnessing your journey to and through your emotions and needs. A typical session with me will always comprise of verbal as well as movement parts. I also like to integrate expressive painting, writing or voice work when applicable. Read more about me and my approach on my website: www.viviento.de (currently only in German)
