About me

After finishing my Bachelor in Psychology in 2013 I continued my studies in Dance Movement Therapy while completing internships in the subject in Berlin. I have been formally working as a Dance Movement Therapist and as a body-oriented psychological counselor with psychiatric patients since 2021. I also offer expressive movement workshops in collaboration with different associations based in Berlin, focusing on inclusion and body awareness. I focus my practice on creating positive movement experiences through playfulness, connection and empathy. I am also a professional dancer and enjoy exploring different methods of movement therapy which I regularly integrate into my practice.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Body therapyRecommended for those who want to connect their mind and body to release stress or trauma through physical sensations and movement.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
My professional dance and Dance Movement Therapy background has helped me personally become aware of how important our body is in our emotional regulation. In its essence, Dance Movement Therapy can aid us in translating our non-verbal signals (physical) to verbal one. Allowing your body to move freely and express itself in playful and creative ways, will provide space for needs and emotions to come to the surface. Dance Movement Therapy then further helps us explore these parts of ourselves so that we can understand them better. This new physical awareness can result in important guidance for how to recognize strong emotions and manage them more easily. My approach follows the principles of the Psychodynamic integrated by the LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) and the KMB (Kestenberg Movement Profile), systems and methods of movement observation and analysis, fundamentals tools, and guide of my Dance Therapy - Psychological counseling sessions.
