About me

I am a licensed School Psychologist (Massachusetts, USA) specializing in supporting adolescents (ages 14-18) navigating neurodivergence—including ADHD, Autism, and Specific Learning Disabilities—as well as expatriate and Third Culture Kids (TCKs) adjusting to transitions, identity development, and belonging.

Currently based in Berlin, I provide remote counseling in a secure and confidential space. My approach is rooted in respect, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. With a background in school psychology, I have extensive experience in psychological and educational assessments, neurodiversity, and the intersection of learning and emotional well-being. Specializing in support for highly sensitive adolescents, I help build bodily awareness and develop coping strategies for navigating daily life.

Therapy is tailored to individual strengths and needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address challenges in a constructive, strengths-based way. Additionally, Narrative Therapy plays a key role in exploring evolving identity and fostering a strong sense of self.

Having lived across cultures myself, I understand the complexities of an international lifestyle. My goal is to create a supportive space where adolescents feel more grounded, confident, and at ease—fostering resilience and joy amid change. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to develop strategies that empower you to thrive, no matter where you are in the world.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Narrative therapyRecommended for those who want to rewrite the way they view their life story and feel more empowered in their personal journey.

My counseling approach is holistic and tailored to each individual's interests and goals. I take a systemic perspective, considering how school, home, friendships, and personal experiences shape self-perception, coping strategies, and emotional well-being.

The first 2-3 sessions focus on building rapport and trust while identifying key stressors and barriers. From there, we can set a strengths-based goal for personal growth and collaboratively establish a plan to work toward it. Counseling is a space for clients to bring their authentic selves—free to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. While I provide a structured framework, clients are encouraged to take an active role in our work together at a pace that feels right for them. This collaborative approach enables clients feel more engaged and empowered in our sessions and in incorporating our discoveries in daily life.

I create a validating, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to explore their lives. My approach is integrative, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy based on each adolescent’s needs and interests. Above all, I believe in the power of small steps—whether through self-acceptance, new coping skills, or major breakthroughs—as individuals build a greater sense of balance and confidence in their lives.
