“ What matters most is what is happening, with whom it is happening, how it is happening, when it is happening, how one feels about what is happening, and especially, what are the consequences of what is happening.” ― Erving Polster,
We are always in relationship. I see life as movement in relationship.
I was born and raised in Germany to Polish Parents. Reflecting on my families history I am being confronted with questions of Identity and Belonging. In my life I moved between Germany and Poland. I have been raised speaking 3 languages: Polish, German and English. My current work as psychologist with multicultural families provides me valuable insights into complex dynamics and the stressors connected to migration. I have further experience working on: divorce, separation, autism in children, school absence, child neglect, emotional development and single parenting. Before that, I worked with chronically ill individuals, where I gained experience in crisis management. Additionally I developed an understanding of the human aspects of social isolation, particularly concerning the stigma surrounding double diagnoses.
After having graduated from Psychology, I knew I would like to become a Gestalt-therapist. Interviewing Gestalt-therapists for my Master Thesis , I felt something very immediate about them, which inspired me. The holistic approach, which focuses on contact, sensitizing your awareness for the present moment and accepting what is going on in your life as part of you, responsibility and self-support, has become the foundation of my work.
I will support you, in responding to changes in a self-supportive and aware manner. I believe that this is most important, as we humans naturally fear change. Being afraid of the known coming to an end, our habitual responses desensitise us from new experiences, inhibiting us to take on full responsibility.
Change, likewise personal growth comes in the form of self-acceptance. Necessarily, I will help you to become aware of what is going on and how it is going on in the present moment. This also includes the integration of your unfinished situations from the past. Together we create an awareness of how those unfinished situations operate in your every day life and how these unfinished situations operate between our therapeutic relationship.
Through the expansion of awareness integration evolves. The more aspects of your Self you own the more spontaneously you can navigate through changes. Owning disowned parts of yourself also brings back joy , as you have more life energy at your disposal.
I will guide you to explore your awareness through individually tailored interventions and experiments.
I am happy to start this process of change together with you and be a witness to You growing into your possibilities.
