About me

My own healing journey compelled me to become a Body Psychotherapist, because I experienced first hand how the body in its beauty and innate wisdom can be our bridge to a solution, to the next impulse, to create a new connection and to learn something new.

My first career was in Tech, where I quickly moved from code to group dynamics and making projects more inclusive. In a critical period of my life, I decided in my sabbatical to get trained to be able to pass on the gift of therapy and support the daring on their way. Since then I got trained in Integrative Body Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing and other trauma therapy modalities. As you can see from my own experience I firmly believe in second chances in life.

People of all ages, genders, sexual identities and origins are welcome here. Sliding scale fees possible. Please contact me, if you have any questions. You can also find more information on https://bodypsychotherapy.berlin

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Body therapyRecommended for those who want to connect their mind and body to release stress or trauma through physical sensations and movement.
Ego-state therapyRecommended for those who want to explore and heal different parts of themselves, especially if they feel like different "states" or versions of themselves emerge in certain situations.
Somatic ExperiencingRecommended for those who want to use the mind-body connection to address the effects of trauma and restore natural regulation of the nervous system.
To me, healing must be seen holistically - it takes place on different levels: for example the body, our cognition, in the spiritual dimension, our psyche or in our relationships. What is beneficial to us and proves to be a resource is highly personal and different for all of us.

To me this is central to the work:

- getting to know and using vital and lively resources for coping and change
- discovering and bringing our natural wishes, ideas and plans to life
- maturing with the challenges of life

It is important to me to establish a good connection between clients and myself, that's why I offer a free introductory call online of about 20 minutes where we can get to know each other a bit and figure out if we are a good fit. Reach out so we can find a good time together.

In the first actual session we will meet, assess where you currently stand in life and define goals for our work together. What it is important to me from the get-go is to identify (and potentially reactivate) resources in your life, as they are the essential foundation for self-discovery and -development.
