About me

I’m a board-certified music therapist who believes in the use of creativity and compassion to help people heal and grow. My approach is grounded in understanding how our past, especially family dynamics and childhood experiences, shapes our present beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. I aim to help you explore those patterns, process unresolved emotions, and find new ways to move forward with clarity and confidence. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, I am a neurodiversity advocate with experience working with autistic folks, and I have experience helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, and complex relationship challenges. My background in psychology and music therapy, which I studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, has taught me the value of integrating the creative process with talk-based therapy. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Building a life in a new city has its unique challenges. Whether it’s feeling disconnected, being held back by past experiences, or finding your place, I aim to help you unpack those struggles, reconnect with yourself, and find what feels authentic and fulfilling. If you’re looking for someone who is ready to meet you where you are, let’s talk. I do not use artificial intelligence tools to record, transcribe, analyze, or process sessions, notes, or client communications.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
Music TherapyRecommended for those who find it easier to express feelings or process emotions through music rather than talking.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, creative, and rooted in understanding how our past shapes our present. I believe that the relationships and experiences we have in childhood play a significant role in shaping who we are today. Reflecting on these dynamics can give insight to patterns, process unresolved emotions, how they influence your current beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. In our conversations I aim to create an environment where you can openly work through your thoughts and feelings. At the same time, I like to incorporate creative outlets to help you express and explore emotions that might be harder to put into words. This might include lyric analysis of songs that resonate with your experiences, using music making and art as a mirror to reflect on personal challenges and deeper feelings, and creative prompts. I believe in approaching creativity with curiosity, exploring how it can help you connect with your inner thoughts and uncover new perspectives. My goal is to help you feel empowered to rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you and build sense of self you’re proud of.

Experience

8 years in practice
I have been a board-certified music therapist in the United States since 2017. I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals and groups in a variety of settings. I spent several years working in a behavioral health hospital, where I provided group music therapy to adults living with depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health challenges. In addition to my hospital work, I’ve spent three years in private practice, offering therapy to individuals and families, and focusing on young adults with autism.

Education

I hold a master’s degree in cognitive behavioral science from Freie Universität Berlin and an undergraduate degree in psychology and music therapy from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
