You’ve lived your first life – and suddenly, out of the blue, you got knocked off course. By job loss, loss of purpose, an identity crisis, or the joys of (peri)menopause. Welcome to the messy middle! The years between the late thirties and mid-fifties mark a major turning point for many women. Old answers no longer hold, your sense of identity is in question, dropping hormones fray your last nerve – and on top of it all, life whispers in your ear: “I am finite. Stop putting things off.“
I accompany women through the storms of this life stage. Born in 1980, I know the terrain of midlife madness from personal experience. Before moving into counselling, I spent over a decade as an innovation strategist in startups and corporate life. Therefore, I understand the pressure of "functioning" on the outside while falling apart on the inside. The exhaustion of adjusting to other people’s moulds. The estrangement from your own body when perimenopause hits.
My goal for you isn’t self-optimisation; it’s self-discovery. That means finding out what lies behind your symptoms and what wants to come alive within you. I work primarily from a psychodynamic and somatic lens, but also use solution-focussed strategies to improve your situation effectively in the here and now.
