In my opinion a good therapeutic relationship is the foundation for making therapy a working experience. I try to create an appreciative and tolerant atmosphere in which each client can feel safe and can open up. I believe that when we have a space to explore ourselves with openess, we can become aware of our inner self and start paying attention to our feelings and motives.
During the therapeutic process we will focus on the here and now and how it is determined by your past. As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I believe that presenting symptoms have underlying roots and that those deeper roots needs to be adressed. Symptoms may change but, if not adressed, the underlying issues remain. Thus, during therapy we do not only focus on the symptoms but talk about everything that might come up during the session.
The psychodynamic approach then relies on the interpersonal exchange between a therapist and a client, in order to establish and develop new strategies that the client can use to create changes.
The psychotherapy process may take between a few weeks and a few years depending on the presenting issues. Each session is 50min and we usually meet once a week.
As an accredited therapist I can settle the payment with all private insurances. I also offer therapy based on private pay on a rate of 100€, according to the GOP (fee regulation for psychotherapists - unified valuation standard).
