Psychological Counsellor · ADHD · Trauma · LGBTQ+ · Migrants. Free 20-min intro calls available.
Hi, I'm David, a psychological counsellor with over 6 years of experience working with people from different backgrounds.
I work with migrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodivergent individuals. The topics I see most are anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and addiction. My approach combines Socratic dialogue, practical tools, and a space where you can explore what's hard to talk about elsewhere. I work collaboratively, meaning that sessions are not just about talking, they're about understanding patterns and building something more useful going forward.
I'm completing a Master's in Psychology at Touro University Berlin. My thesis looks at how people experience sharing personal distress with AI and what that does to the way we make sense of our lives. It comes up in sessions more often than you'd think.
I offer a free 20-minute intro call so you can get a sense of how I work, ask whatever you need, and see if talking with me feels right. My goal is for you to leave that call with a clear idea of whether this makes sense for you.
Sessions with me involve a lot of questions. I use Socratic and philosophical dialogue to help you examine what you're actually thinking, not just what you feel on the surface. I pair that with practical tools and homework, so the work doesn't stop when the session ends.
I also offer walk & talk therapy in Berlin for those who prefer to move while they think. Some people find it easier to open up when they're not sitting across from someone.
People who work with me say I help them see things differently. That I move at a pace that feels right. That they feel safe enough to explore what's uncomfortable.
For the past five years I have maintained a private psychological counselling practice where I support individuals through personal exploration, life transitions, and emotional development. I work primarily with migrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodivergent adults navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and addiction. I integrate Socratic dialogue, psychodynamic tools, radical acceptance, narrative techniques, and psychodrama to help clients understand their internal patterns, gain clarity, and strengthen their sense of direction.
I collaborated with an eating disorder focused clinic led by Dr. Sally Daganzo in Los Angeles, providing psychological support, reflective conversations, psychoeducation, and emotional regulation strategies for individuals working through body image and self-worth challenges. I also assisted in creating educational materials and structured activities for clients and families, which deepened my understanding of trauma, identity, and everyday wellbeing. Before that I worked in the human rights reporting unit of the National Assembly of Venezuela's Commission of Internal Policy. My responsibilities included documenting cases, preparing reports, and offering primary psychological support to individuals affected by state violence and other critical events. This role involved active listening, crisis-oriented guidance, and trauma-informed approaches to help people organize their experiences in moments of high vulnerability.
Master's in Psychology (Near Completion) · Touro University Berlin
I'm in the final stage of my Master's degree with a specialization in Psychological Counseling. My thesis explores how people experience sharing personal distress with AI, what that does to the way they construct meaning, how it shapes their sense of reality, and how it interacts with their real relationships. This question sits at the intersection of psychology, technology, and the way we understand trust and human connection today. It comes up in my practice more than I expected when I started researching it. I have also completed workshops in Trauma-Informed Care, focused on building environments where people processing difficult experiences feel safe enough to do that work.
Bachelor's in Psychology · Universidad Metropolitana, Venezuela
I completed my degree with a thesis examining psychosocial trauma in communities affected by state violence, specifically how collective adversity shapes emotional expression, resilience, and the search for meaning. That work established the foundation for everything I've continued to explore since: how people make sense of what happens to them, and what they need to move forward.
