In my practice, clients find a warm, non-judgmental space where they can learn to get to know and accept themselves. I work with individuals who are struggling with issues including depression, anxiety, negative body image, poor self-esteem, family conflict, and oppressive systems. Paramount to me is to express unconditional positive regard towards you, validate your experience, and be a trusted ear while guiding you through the hard work of healing and navigating your inner world.
My primary therapeutic method is Internal Family Systems (IFS) which helps clients develop self-compassion, begin to heal attachment wounds, and build boundaries, with the goal of leading richer, more intentional, self-led lives. IFS is an evidence-based model that understands our inner world as a system of parts led by our core self. In an IFS session we work to create "inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts." My work is trauma-informed, HAES informed, and centered in anti-oppression and body liberation. I welcome all clients and particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ folks.
