About me
I grew up in Korea and live as an international in Berlin.
I have been exploring how to engage genuinely with my own and other's life difficulties.
I am interested in co-processing the challenges of expat life and navigating various forms of identity confusion. I aim to help people find ways to ground in where we are at the moment, within our body and mind.
My educational background is in Philosophy and Psychotherapy. I have also learned so much from my own painful moments too.
I specialize in trauma therapy focused on nervous system regulation which grew out of my direct and indirect experiences. It was a grateful moment when I discovered that these understandings of the nervous system and regulation tools could also effectively help people with neurodivergence, ADHD and anxiety disorder.
I practice Somatic Mindfulness and Alexander Technique to more profoundly integrate these regulatory approaches. Most importantly, I've learned through listening and being open.
I deeply believe that our difficulties and discomforts are precious voices desperately trying to communicate unheard wounds. And I want to help you build a safe space to recognize and contain them.
CFT: Compassion-Focused TherapyRecommended for those who want to be kinder to themselves and reduce negative self-talk, often using mindfulness techniques.
IFS: Internal Family SystemsRecommended for those who want to explore and heal the different parts of themselves that might feel conflicted or overwhelmed.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
I work with various approaches:
Psychological Counseling, Somatic Workshop programs, Somatic Contact sessions. We can discuss and adjust them depending on what kind of topics you have and how do you feel comfortable to relate to them.
