Private Practice for Psychological Psychotherapy | Couples Counseling | Berlin & Online | Specialized in AuD(H)D, Life Transitions & International Clients
Hello and welcome!
đ www.melinda-green.com
Iâm Melinda Green, an accredited Psychological Psychotherapist in private practice, with professional training and clinical experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT an Schema -Therapy across Sydney (AUS), Amsterdam (NL), and Berlin (DE).
About me: I was born in MĂźnster (GER) to a German mother and Nigerian father, and Iâve been married to an Australian CEO for over 10 years now. Together, weâre raising three bilingual children. Navigating my own intercultural relationship, raising a multilingual family, and balancing work and life roles gives me a deep, lived understanding of the very challenges many of my clients bring into therapy. My work goes beyond traditional therapy frameworks. I believe psychotherapy shouldn't be stiff or distant â but alive, open-minded, and inclusive.
In my practice "The Green Space", I create a space shaped by diversity, where humor is as welcome as depth, and where modern challenges are met with both clarity and compassion. Whether youâre seeking individual support, navigating relationship difficulties, or facing the unique dynamics of intercultural life â Iâm here to accompany you with empathy, expertise, and a grounded, human approach.

Media Features & Public Speaking In addition to my clinical work, I regularly contribute to public conversations around mental health, relationships, and neurodiversity. Iâve been featured and consulted by various major media outlets, including: 1LIVE, ARTE, ARD, ZDF, funk, SWR, and WDR COSMO. Whether it's expert commentary, podcast interviews, or written contributions â I value opportunities to make psychological insights more accessible, human, and relatable to a broader audience.
As an accredited Psychological Psychotherapist (CBT) in Germany, I work evidence-based, structured, and compassionate. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each otherâand that meaningful change becomes possible when we understand these patterns and practice new responses.
To deepen and personalize CBT, I integrate Schema Therapy (working with long-standing emotional patterns and attachment needs) and an emotion-focused, relationship-sensitive approach (helping you access emotions safely, express needs clearly, and create more supportive connectionsâwith yourself and others). My work is practical and grounded, while also making space for what feels difficult to put into words.
In couples therapy, I combine structured CBT-based interventions with schema and emotion-focused elements. We work on de-escalation, communication, needs and boundaries, trust and repair after conflictâand on understanding the deeper emotional patterns that keep repeating.
