My aim is to build a trusting relationship in which you feel comfortable and can open up. In an initial consultation, I will listen to your current situation, your difficulties, possible clinical symptoms and your goals. In the long term, I would like to support you in identifying and resolving unfavorable behavioral patterns in order to reduce clinical symptoms, achieve better self-regulation, improve relationships with others and understand yourself better.
I focus on two areas:
▶️ My first focus is on current problems in the present. For this, I use classic methods of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In situation analyses, we find out which factors trigger and maintain your problem. These can be, for example, deeply rooted beliefs, unconscious behavioral patterns (e.g. avoidance behavior), difficulties in dealing with emotions or poor interaction styles. Once we have found out what triggers your problem, we develop concrete strategies or skills that can be applied practically and promptly in everyday life. This phase is therefore very action- and goal-oriented.
▶️ My second focus is on influential childhood experiences. We look at what influences your attachment figures or certain experiences in your biography have had on you and how you can deal with them or work through them. To do this, I use modern methods from the so-called "third wave" (e.g. elements from schema therapy, emotion work, mindfulness or self-compassion). Elements from trauma therapy can also be applied here.
Through this approach, I try to answer the two questions "How can I solve my problem?" and "Why did my problem emerge in the first place?"
