I offer gentle, depth-oriented counselling for people navigating difficult emotions, life transitions, and the bigger questions that come with being human.
If you're here, chances are you're carrying something heavy and you're looking for a space where you can finally set it down.
I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which means we'll explore the patterns, relationships, and emotions that shape your life. I don't believe in giving you answers or quick fixes. Real change happens when insights come from within you, not from me telling you what to think or do. My role is to listen deeply, notice what might be beneath the surface, and help you make sense of your own story.
I bring gentleness and care to this work. I'm attuned to what's unspoken, and I'll help you explore the connections between your past and present in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming. Having built my life across cultures, I also bring sensitivity to the complexities of living between worlds – whether that's navigating different cultural expectations, questions of identity and belonging, or simply feeling caught between home and somewhere new.
With a Master's in Clinical Psychology and over 1,000 hours of clinical experience, I've worked with people navigating anxiety, depressive states, relationship struggles, eating concerns, high sensitivity, maladaptive daydreaming, life transitions, and the bigger existential questions that come with being human. I bring a deep understanding of how challenging these struggles can be, and profound respect for the courage it takes to seek support.
This work is best suited for people who want depth, who are willing to look inward, and who need a counsellor who won't rush them through their process. If this resonates with you, reach out – I'd be glad to set up a free 20-minute discovery call!
In our sessions, I create space for you to explore whatever is on your mind, whether that's a specific struggle you're facing or something harder to name. I listen carefully, ask questions that help you go deeper, and notice patterns or connections you might not see on your own.
I believe meaningful change happens through understanding yourself more deeply – not just what you're feeling, but why. I'm interested in helping you understand the "why" behind your feelings and behaviors, and how your past continues to influence your present.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. Some sessions might focus on immediate concerns and what's happening in your life right now, while others explore the deeper themes and emotions underneath. What matters is that we work at a pace that feels right for you; I won't rush you or push you somewhere you're not ready to go.
If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute call where we can talk about what you're looking for and see if we're a good match. Send me a message and I'll reach out back to you.
I have over 1,000 hours of clinical experience working in various therapeutic settings, including psychosomatic medicine and geriatric psychiatry. I've worked with diverse client populations, from individuals with somatoform disorders to older adults facing neurological and psychiatric challenges.
My clinical training has been broad, incorporating both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I've conducted diagnostic assessments, facilitated therapeutic groups, and participated in individual counselling sessions across different clinical environments.
Beyond direct clinical work, I've been involved in psychoanalytic education and research, and currently volunteer with a telephone support line in Sweden, providing empathic counselling to older adults experiencing psychological distress.
