I chose the systemic approach to therapy because I strongly believe, that a lot of symptoms are not defects but (survival-) strategies we aquired in our family system. In therapy, I encourage and support my clients to acknowledge this and then develop new, more helpful strategies. During my training, I realized that emotions and values are important factors that guide our behaviour and need to be attended to. So I completed further trainings in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy). I am also a Mindfulness Trainer for Kids and adolescents. In my individual therapy sessions with adults, brief Mindfulness techniques play a important part as well. *Please note that I am not trained to work with addiction (alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, video games etc.), severe depression, PTSD (Post traumatic stress syndrome) or psychotic symptoms (hallucinations, hearing voices, paranoid thoughts).*
