I help to stabilise your emotional balance. Through methodical dialogue, biographical-narrative analysis and systemic therapy. Development- and resource-orientated, insight- and solution-focused.
Inner Spectrum - the name of my practice - refers to a person's inner space, which is contradictory and complex, constantly striving for a balance of thoughts, states of mind and feelings.
Against the background of many years of expertise in cultural publication, my therapeutic work often addresses issues from artistic-creative, virtuoso or scientific fields of activity. These include the causes and consequences of creative crises, self-alienation, loneliness, social isolation, writer's block, (creative) burnout, depression and the desire for professional repositioning. Partnership or generation-specific problems, questions of gender identity and conflicts within the relationship system are also repeatedly mentioned. In addition, some people simply want to talk or share what they're going through. In order to guide the other person towards specific questions, solutions and insights, I work in a development- and resource-orientated, insight- and solution-focused manner - always oriented towards the individual history of each person and the circumstances of their individual life environment.
After postgraduate studies in education, Jewish culture and journalism, certified as a systemic therapist (DFS) after working in Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, London and Los Angeles, but originally profiled through numerous encounters with personalities from art, music, science, literature and society, I draw on a unique wealth of experience in conducting dialogue. In line with predecessors such as Édouard Roditi, Oriana Fallaci and Georg Stefan Troller, I have also cultivated dialogue in my writing, for example in: Die Seismografie des Fragens, Biografische Gespräche (872 p., Salis, Zurich 2014). Who we are and how we survive crises can be traced back to our origins, our personal growth, our health and our way of life. Every individual is unique - and usually as complicated as their time and environment. The present, plagued by climate change, wars, migrations, recessions, digital invasions and pandemics, is full of complications. Rarely has mental health proved to be so coveted and at the same time so endangered. Those who are at one with themselves and their circumstances can face changing developments with confidence. However, more and more people are seeing their world view shaken, experiencing feelings of fear, sadness, shame, loneliness, despair or insecurity.
Systemic-biographical counselling therapy opens up ways and solutions for you to regain emotional balance and mental strength. Based on elements of biographical-narrative analysis, methodical conversation and systemic therapy, I help you to recognise cognitive imprints and patterns, to penetrate, question and structure previously unexplained mental and emotional connections and thus gradually stabilise your behaviour and psychosomatic balance. Placing your own feelings, thoughts and actions in relation to your biographical development, its structure, course and meaning and reflecting on this promotes an awareness of unused resources from which you can generate new options for action, regain self/confidence and possibilities for mediation and reconciliation.
Only a few sessions can help you to make a difficult personal problem transparent or to narrow it down in order to position yourself more securely and to reflect on your own history with regard to the present and the past.
